ENERGY &
Emotional Horsemanship is currently offering private scholarships to many of our regular students, to help support community cohesion during the current economic climate.
If you would like to help us make this work sustainable, and assist in carrying other wonderful horse people forward, you are warmly invited to leave a donation or tip.
We appreciate your support more than you can know.

Boundaries have often meant intimidation.
Energy has often meant escalation.
Clarity has often meant obedience at any cost.
And because those were the models so many of us inherited, it can feel as though these qualities that keep us safe, and create functional training, only exist inside loudness, dominance, or pressure that overwhelms the horse.
But that is not what boundaries truly are.
A boundary is simply information.
A calm outline of space, expectation, and safety.
When taught proactively, boundaries do not require fear or confrontation. Horses often relax when the world becomes predictable.
Energy is not aggression.
It is presence, intention, and nervous system steadiness.

Energy can be generated without force when the human is regulated, purposeful, and clear.
And clarity is not harshness.
Clarity is the horse understanding what is happening, what is being asked, and how to find relief. When clarity is embodied, training becomes quieter, not louder.
In the absence of violence, we begin to realise these qualities were never supposed to be dramatic. They were supposed to be simple.
With good strategies and thoughtful practice, boundaries become easy to hold, energy becomes easier to offer, and clarity becomes something both horse and human can breathe inside.
