Finca de Sanson is the culmination of a lifelong dream: to live simply, peacefully, and horse-first in the countryside of Galicia, Spain.

This farm is more than a private home. It is a living horsemanship laboratory, a quiet place where a sustainable vision for the future of horse keeping can be practiced, studied, and shared. You will not find rushed, high-volume, industrial horsemanship here. Instead, you will find calm, intentional work, designed around the horses’ wellbeing and emotional balance.

We invite you to travel to North-Western Spain to rest, learn, and immerse yourself in horsemanship that truly puts the horse first.

Here, you will meet your teachers: Sanson, Sureño, Caleb, and Oki. These horses live in exceptional care and offer a rare opportunity to learn alongside smart, autonomous horses who are respected as partners, not tools.

Finca de Sanson is located in central Galicia, one of Spain’s best-kept secrets, known for lush green landscapes, long springs, warm summers, golden autumns, and gentle, rainy winters. It is a peaceful corner of the country, far from crowds and tourism.

Your stay will focus on developing practical skill in groundwork, riding, horse care, and the personal capacities needed to thrive with horses. Emotional Horsemanship is our lens, but it is a wide one, offering enormous scope for learning, practice, and reflection.

Our horse-first approach asks students to meet the horses where they are, and we never require horses to serve in ways that do not feel fair or enjoyable for them. This creates a unique learning environment built on consent, clarity, and mutual respect.
